My CMS was also used to design my husband’s product design portfolio at the time:
My previous design portfolio, built with my own self developed CMS.
After looking at some available portfolio solutions at the time, I wasn’t happy with the UX of any of the available systems. I decided to work on my own UI with a major goal to be able to keep the visitor on a single page while allowing full browsing of all of my portfolio projects. The interaction concept I came up with was for a grid of project thumbnails, where clicking on a thumbnail would expand the project detail right under that thumbnail.
Fun fact: the UI concept of my old portfolio is pretty much identical to what Google started using for their image search a couple of years later.
