CHALLENGE: The product team at Longtail Video had a preliminary design for the JW Player user dashboard, but things didn’t feel quite right, even though all the necessary functionality and information was there.
SOLUTION: Evaluated the existing design to pinpoint specific issues. Designed a neatly organized UI, arranging different informational/functional groups by meaning and priority, with a consistent and easy to follow navigation between pages. Reintroduced the visual language established by the main promotional site for smooth visual experience between the two sites, and to reinforce the Longtail Video brand aesthetic. In addition, I created custom icons to make sure iconography was consistent throughout the sites.
